Toxicological analyses are of critical importance in forensic cases. Most of the analyses are either dealing with trace levels of compounds or frequently there might be a group of compounds in interest which are very closely related in structure. Therefore, analytical sensitivity and specificity is very important regarding toxicological analyses. The advent of mass spectrometer in the toxicology laboratories has broadened the spectrum of tests available in this area.
